Red War Poster

This poster uses the Hakenkreuz to try to distinguish the socialism of the National Socialist German Workers' Party from the sociailsm of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.  The text reads: "The Red War. Mother or Comrade? Man or Machine? God or the Devil? Blood or God? Race or Bastard? Popular music or jazz? National Socialism or Bolshevism?"  It is frightening that in 1939 the Nazi-Sozis joined with the USSR as allies in WWII in a pact to divide up Europe and they both started by invading Poland.  The USSR slaughtered 62 million people, and the NSDAP slaughtered 21 million. The Peoples' Republic of China then followed with 35 million slaughtered. This poster might be dated 1930. (photo from Robert D. Brooks).

Death to Lies Poster
Translation: "Death to Lies." The National Socialist German Workers' Party fist grips a snake with "Marxism" (USSR) on it and "High Finance" (as an incoherent socialist poke against capitalism) on the same poster.  See the comments on the previous description.  Probably from 1930-32. 1932 Poster

Text: "Open the door to freedom! Put a strong man at the helm! Out of the swamp! Forward with the powers of renewal! Vote National Socialist List 2."  They are still typical claptrap cliches used by politicians today. Also shows the straight-arm salute that came from the military salute in the USA and the original pledge of allegiance to the US flag, and not from ancient Rome.  From the July 1932 Reichstag election.    By the way, the USA's phrase "homeland security" in German is "Heimatsicherheit" or "Heimwehr."

1932 Poster
Translation: "Over 300 National Socialists died for you — murdered by Marxist subhumanity!!! For work and food vote Adolf Hitler List 2."  The reference is to deaths to members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party during political battles on the streets and in political gatherings. The Christian imagery is clear.  The tie-in of the Hakenkreuz to other crosses, as well as the German Iron Cross. Socialism preaches self-sacrifice even to death and that philosophy resulted in the socialist Wholecaust (of which the Holocaust was a part): 62 million in the USSR; 35 million under the PRC; 21 million under the NSDAP.  It is frightening that the straight-arm salute was created by a self-proclaimed National Socialist in the USA who was also head of the "Society of Christian Socialists" in the USA.  From the July 1932 Reichstag election. 132 Nazi Election Poster
Another poster helped to inspire the phrase "Socialist Sun" as a reference to the Hakenkreuz.  Text: "Work and food through National Socialism." November 1932. Courtesy of Dr. Robert D. Brooks.
