Derek Newhall of Amherst, Massachusetts is also known as DNewhall in wikpedia's "Fascism" wikiproject. According to Derek Newhall he usually "haunts" the wikipedia pages related Fascism. Derek even boasts that he is "the primary maintainer of the Fascism portal." On his wikipedia user page, Derek boastfully displays a symbol of Fascism and the statement "This is a member of WikiProject Fascism." He also lists on his user page the claim that he belongs to the category "WikProject Fascism Members." http://rexcurry.net/wikipedia-derek-newhall-amherst-fascism-dnewhall.html

Derek confesses that he listens "to primarily Gothic rock, Industrial music, and Metal but also listen to anything that strikes my fancy."  He has a "to do" section where he posted "list of urban legends."

Despite his self-references on "Fascism" Derek seemed to know very little about the "Brazilian Integralism" flag and even edited another poster on the issue of whether the flag of the Brazilian Integralism movement was influenced by the flag of the National Socialist German Workers' Party. He told another poster "In this case I don't think you can use 'appears' because it's your opinion and has no source saying that. While it does look like it could be influenced by the [National Socialist German Workers' Party] flag it could also be influenced by any other flag using that design (it's not a terribly unique design)."

That is one explanation why Derek Newhall did not make another one of Dr. Curry's amazing discoveries that the flag of the Ação Integralista Brasileira (AIB, Brazilian Integralist Action) is more proof Dr. Curry's discovery that the swasika flag was used to represent overlapping "S" letters for "Socialism" under German National Socialism. http://rexcurry.net/swastika-brazilian-integralist-action-aib-greek-sigma.html

Much of the information in Derek Newhall's posts isn't true (and can be shown to be so by simple research) or he doesn't reference his sources so that someone can verify his claims. No one should take what Derek Newhall says seriously or use it as a source.

1. Derek Newhall is incorrect about the so-called "Fascist salute."  First, the salute Derek references is the same as the salute that developed from the Bellamy salute (which is the origin of the salute of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, as shown in the work of the historian Dr. Rex Curry, author of "Pledge of Allegiance Secrets"). http://rexcurry.net/book1a1contents-swastika.html

Second, the salute was not used in the same form and fashion before that. Derek Newhall is incorrect when he claims "Bellamy probably got it since it was used as a salute of allegiance in the mid to late 1800s" and Derek can provided no support for his claim. Derek Newhall is incorrect in stating that the German National Socialists "got it from their glorification of the past (they believed that it was the salute the Romans used)" and Derek provided no support for his claim.

2. Derek Newhall is incorrect in claiming that Mussolini had disassociated himself from socialists and that his goal was anti-socialism. Derek Hall is incorrect in his claim that the leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) wasn't involved in any socialist parties prior to the NSDAP.  Derek Hall is incorrect that the National Socialist German Workers' Party only added "Socialist" to their name because their Austrian affiliate did.

Derek Newhall does concede Dr. Curry's work when Derek states that the National Socialist German Workers' Party also targeted other socialists in its reign of terror.  That does lend much crecedence to their being legitimately socialist. A defining trait of socialists is that they attack other socialists and they have set and hold records for mass slaughter doing so in the socialist Wholecaust (of which the Holocaust was a part): ~60 million slaughtered under the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; ~50 million under the People's Republic of China; ~20 million under the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Derek Newhall conceded Dr. Curry's work showing that the "Roman salute" is a myth and was not used in ancient Rome, in that Derek conceded that Derek no longer believes that the "Roman salute" was used by the Romans.  http://rexcurry.net/book1a1contents-pledge.html

3. Derek Newhall seems close to conceding Dr. Curry's work showing that the swastika, although an ancient symbol, was used sometimes by the National Socialist German Workers' Party to represent overlapping "S" letters for their "Socialist" dogma. Derek gives no evidence or references for any other use.

Derek has also recognized the point made by Dr. Curry regarding the 'S' in signiture of the leader of German National Socialism. Derek provides no evidence of any other meaning than "socialist."  http://rexcurry.net/book1a1contents-swastika.html

Derek made a ridiculous statement indicating that he does not believe that the Volkswagon logo consists of a "V" and "W" letters in similar alphabetic symbolism.

4. Derek Newhall concedes Dr. Curry's work showing that Francis Bellamy and Edward Bellamy were involved in "nationalist" / patriotic activities and they were socialists. Derek Newhall ends his sad comments by stating "Granted, I know the least about this point...."  He even concedes that his realm of knowledge consists merely of reading one of Edward Bellamy's books.

Remember that Derek Newhall states that he usually "haunts" the wikipedia pages related Fascism. Derek even boasts that he is "the primary maintainer of the Fascism portal." On his wikipedia user page, Derek boastfully displays a symbol of Fascism and the statement "This is a member of WikiProject Facism."
