For its symbol, the AIB used a flag that was inspired by the swastika flag under German socialism: a white disk on a colored background, with an uppercase Σ or "sigma" in its center, instead of a swastika.  The meaning of the AIB symbol has been overlooked because the Greek letter sigma resembles the English and German letter "E."  However, the Greek letter sigma corresponds to the English and German letter "S."

There were two main versions of the Greek letter sigma in ancient history. One version of the Greek letter sigma was the AIB's "E" shaped symbol, and the other was the "S" shaped symbol that is also described as a lightning bolt rune-shape. Although the swastika was an ancient symbol, it was used by German National Socialists to represent two overlapping "S" letters for their socialist dogma. Similar stylized lettering was common under German socialism and in the bizarre signature of the NSGWP' leader, in his SS Division, on the Trabant car logo, and similar alphabetic symbolism still shows on Volkswagens.

It is interesting to note that in Germany under the NSGWP (and still today worldwide), the "S" shapes used in the swastika, the SS division and other uses were known as "siegs" or the "sieg rune," and the name is derived from the Greek word "sigma."  "Sieg" is also a word in German and was used under the NSGWP as part of its robotic chanting of "Sieg Heil" to its national flag (the swastika flag) and to its leader with the stiff-arm salute.

Thus, the AIB simply employed a different version of the same letter symbolism used by German socialists; a different Greek version of the letter corresponding to "S" for "Socialism."

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSGWP) originally was named the "German Workers' Party."  Later, the name was changed to add "National Socialist" and the swastika was adopted and came to represent "S" letters for "Socialist."

In the same way that the AIB emulated the National Socialist German Workers' Party, The NSGWP clearly emulated National Socialism promoted by socialists in the USA during the three decades before the NSGWP existed. The use of the swastika as "S" symbolism for socialism originated in the United States, along with robotic group-chanting to flags, Nazism and Nazi salutes. The bizarre acts in the USA began as early as 1875 and continued through the creation of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

The AIB and the NSGWP had clear roots in National Socialism promoted by socialists in the USA and in the "Military Socialism" touted by the American socialists Edward Bellamy and Francis Bellamy. The dogma behind the AIB, the Bellamys and the pledge was the same dogma that influenced people in the socialist Wholecaust.

The Bellamys promoted a government takeover of schools, the placement of flags at schools, and robotic chanting of the pledge to the flag with the old notorious gesture. When the government granted their wishes, the government schools imposed segregation by law and taught racism as official government policy. The schools mandated the robotic chanting of the pledge with the straight-arm salute and persecuted and expelled children who would not comply, arrested parents, and even took children from parents on allegations of "unfit parenting."  There were acts of violence and lynchings.

The USA still follows similar anti libertarian policies promoted by the Bellamys. Many socialist policies caused the USA's big, expensive, oppressive government, its aggressive military socialism, and its growing police state. It caused the Great Socialist Depression (from the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act 1930 etc) that persisted and even lasted through U.S. involvement in WWII. The Pledge still exists along with laws mandating that teachers lead the robotic chanting every day for twelve years of each child's life (though the salute was altered). The government still owns and operates schools, including the same schools that imposed segregation by law and taught racism as official government policy.  That policy even outlasted the National Socialist German Workers' Party by over 15 years. After segregation in government's schools ended, the Bellamy legacy caused more police-state racism of forced busing that destroyed communities and neighborhoods and deepened hostilities. Those schools still exist.  Infants are given social security numbers (socialist slave numbers from 1935 during the NSGWP) that track and tax everyone for life.  Government schools (socialist schools) demand the numbers for enrollment.

The pledge and the flag have become examples of how dangerous government schools are (and how dangerous government is in general).  The brainwashing ritual has indoctrinated most students of government schools with the national socialist propaganda.

The USA is still the worst example in the world of bizarre laws that require robotic chanting to a national flag in government schools (socialist schools) every day for 12 years.

The British Union of Fascists and National Socialists is often compared with the American First Committee that was operated contemporaneously in the USA by Charles Lindbergh.  The BUFNS is sometimes called the "Britain First Committee."

In his Pulitzer prize winning biography "Lindbergh," author A. Scott Berg also agrees with Dr. Curry's assertion that photographs of Americans performing the early Pledge salute were used to imply cooperation with the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSGWP). It is interesting to note that when the "Lindbergh" biography was written, the author Berg failed to make Dr. Curry's discovery that the American salute was the origin of the German Socialist salute.

The raised-arm salute was created (1892) by an American (Francis Bellamy) who was a self-proclaimed socialist in the Nationalism movement in the USA. The American salute pre-dated the NSGWP by 30 years.

Brazilian Integralism was a socialist political movement created in April 1933 in Brazil. Founded and led by Plínio Salgado, a literary figure who was relatively famous during the 1922 Modern Art Week, the movement emulated the National Sociaist German Workers' Party.  The name of the party was Ação Integralista Brasileira (AIB, Brazilian Integralist Action). The reference to Integralism mirrored the choice of name for a parallel movement in Portugal, Integralismo Lusitano.

In 1934, following the disintegration of Vargas' delicate alliance with other special interests, and his new alliance with the AIB, Brazil entered one of the most agitated periods in its political history. Brazil's major cities began to resemble the 1932-33 street battles in Berlin between the Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands and the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

When Vargas established full dictatorial powers under the Estado Novo in 1937, he turned against the movement. Although AIB favored Vargas' changes, Salgado was ambitious, with open presidential aspirations that threatened Vargas' grip on power. In 1938, the Integralists attempted to seize power by attacking the Guanabara Palace during the night. They were almost able to enter the building and kill Vargas, but police and army troops arrived at the last minute.

The AIB disintegrated after that failure in 1938, and some years later Salgado founded the Party of Popular Representation (PRP), which maintained the ideology of Integralism.

At that time Integralism existed, which emulated the National Socialist German Workers' Party. It was formed with a lot of Germans who already resided in the south colonies.  Some might have planned a secession fight. They had installed there espionage points in some capitals, mainly in Rio de Janeiro, the nation's capital at the time, and at the Military Command headquarters. Many spies had been discovered and imprisoned.

There was a propensity of German National Socialists to emmigrate to Brazil amongst other Latin American countries after the war and receive protection from these Governments from extradition.

Brazil was the only Latin-American coutry to declare war on Germany.  Someone who expects protection would go somewhere else, as did Eichmann, who went to Argentina, and in fact, the extradition was denied (the Israelis kidnapped him).

The reason why so many germans (socialists or not) chose Brazil to after WWII was the large german population that already existed in southern Brazil since the 19th century.  They hoped to meet meet friends and relatives. Some children were orphans, and were sent to Brazil to be raised by their uncles or grandparents.

The American socialist Francis Bellamy was cousin and cohort to Edward Bellamy, another famous socialist and the author of the novel "Looking Backward." Edward's book was an international bestseller, translated into every major language (including Russian, German and Chinese). The Bellamy dogma inspired the "Nationalism" movement in the USA, Germany and worldwide. Edward inspired the creation of the Nationalist Party. Edward and Francis supported the Nationalist Magazine, the Nationalist Educational Association, and Nationalist Clubs everywhere.

There may be other parallels with the America First Committee, in that Bellamy nationalists focused on nationalism (“my country over others”), nativism, rabid patriotism (e.g. Pledges of Allegiance in government schools with the original straight-arm salute), a government takeover of schools, and desires for government ownership and control of everything.  They wanted to nationalize everything and they wanted all of society to ape the military and they touted "military socialism" and the "industrial army."

Almost every web site that discusses the AIB is so intellectually dishonest that they will not even comment on why the AIB used the Greek letter Sigma.
Many college and university fraternities and sororities use the sigma letter, which is very confusing for some students due to the fact that it is often mistaken for the English letter "E."

It also resembles a second version of a lower case sigma that is used only at the end of the word.

The E-shaped sigma is in the alphabet of Classical Greek — that of Attica and Athens in the fifth century BCE.

In Eastern forms of Greek writing (as opposed to the Western Greek alphabet used in the European Greek colonies) and in the Middle Ages, the lunate sigma (upper case Ϲ, lower case ϲ) — which resembles, but which is not at all related to, the Latin letter C — was often used. Lunate sigma was frequently used for writing Medieval Greek, and it can still sometimes be seen in inscriptions in Greek Orthodox churches, but also in certain printed editions of classical authors. The form of the Cyrillic letter С [s] derives from lunate sigma.

Cyrillic of Russia comes from greek.  The "C" shaped letter corresponds to "S" in English.

As in CCCP, for the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

capital sigmas are sometimes used in place of Roman E to give a Greek flavour to titles or text (for example, the film My Big Fat GRΣΣK Wedding).

There is also an interesting Greek numeral for "6" that resembles the sigma, but it is called the stigma. note the interesting ties to stigmata, 666, drops of blood.

The Phoenician letter nun has been analogized to snakes, also symbolized by an S-shaped letter.  Socialist snakes.

Time     800 BCE to Present

The Greeks were the first Europeans to learn to write with an alphabet, and from them writing was brought to the rest of Europe, eventually leading down to all modern European alphabets.

From the shape of the letters, it is clear that the Greeks adopted the alphabet the Phoenician script, mostly like during the late 9th century BCE. In fact, Greek historian Herotodus (5th century BCE) called the Greek letters "phoinikeia grammata" (φοινικήια γράμματα), which means Phoenician letters. (You can see the comparision chart at the Proto-Sinaitic page.) Unlike Greek, the Phoenician alphabet only had letters for consonants. When the Greeks adopted the alphabet, they found letters representing sounds not found in Greek. Instead of throwing them away, they modified the extraneous letters to represent vowels. For example, the Phoenician letter 'aleph (which stood for a glottal stop) became the Greek letter alpha (which stands for [a] sound).

There were many variants of the early Greek alphabet, each suited to a local dialect. Eventually the Ionian alphabet was adopted in all Greek-speaking states, but before that happened, the Euboean variant was carried to the Italic peninsula and adopted by Etruscan and eventually the Romans. Note: AP means Ancient Pronunciation. MP means Modern Pronunciation. These represent the phonetic values of the Greek letters in Classical and modern times.

While there are many differences between the many variants of the early Greek alphabet, enough similarities exist to suggest the Greeks adopted the Phoenician alphabet once and splintered rapidly into local variants rather than adopting multiple times.

Early Greek was written right-to-left, just like Phoenician. However, eventually its direction changed to boustrophedon (which means "ox-turning"), where the direction of writing changes every line. For instance, you start on the right of the tablet and writes leftward, and when you reach the leftmost end, you reverse your direction and starting writing toward the right. Even more confusing is that the orientation of the letter themselves is dependent on the direction of writing as well. In the above chart, the letters are drawn as if they were being written from left-to-right. If I were to write right-to-left, I would horizontally flip the letters (like in a mirror).

Boustrophedon was an intermediate stage, and by the 5th century BCE, left-to-right was the de-facto direction of writing.

The Greek alphabet was also the basis for Glagolitic, Cyrillic, and Coptic, Gothic scripts among others.

Strangely, the Greeks tried writing once before. Between 1500 and 1200 BCE, the Mycenaeans, an early tribe of Greeks, has adapted the Minoan syllabary as Linear B to write an early form of Greek. However, the syllabary was not well suited to write Greek, and leaves many modern scholars scratching their heads trying to figure out the exact pronunciation of Mycenaean words. The alphabet, on the other hand, allowed more precise record of the sounds in the language.

In Judaism Shin also stands for S-letter symbolism for the word "Shaddai," a name for God. Because of this, a kohen (priest) forms the letter Shin with his hands as he recites the Priestly Blessing. In the mid 1960s, actor Leonard Nimoy used a single-handed version of this gesture to create the Vulcan Hand Salute for his character, Mr. Spock, on Star Trek.

In Jewish tradition the letter Shin is inscribed on the Mezuzah, a vessel which houses a scroll of parchment with Biblical text written on it. The text contained in the Mezuzah is the Shema Yisrael prayer, which calls the Israelites to love their God with all their heart. The mezuzah is situated upon all the doorframes in a home. Sometimes the whole word Shaddai is written.

The letter Shin also appears in the game of dreidel / dreydl as S-letter symbolism for "shtel" ("put" meaning to put a coin in the pot).

It is unfortunate that the monstrous National Socialist German Workers Party also used S-letter symbolism in the swastika to represent it dogma of "Socialism" under German National Socialism, a dogma influenced by the work of  Edward Bellamy's National Socialist movement and Madame Blavatsky's Theosophical Society in the USA, which also used the swastika symbol.

In addition, German socialists did not call their symbol a "swastika." German socialists called their symbol a Hakenkreuz. The word "Hakenkreuz" means "hooked cross" because it was also a reference to God and religion, as a type of cross.

The two S-letters mad the socialist swastika was a digrammaton, instead of a tetragrammaton.

For its symbol, the AIB used a flag that was inspired by the swastika flag under German socialism: a white disk on a colored background, with an uppercase Σ or "sigma" in its center, instead of a swastika.  The meaning of the AIB symbol has been overlooked because the Greek letter sigma resembles the English and German letter "E."  However, the Greek letter sigma actually corresponds to the English and German letter "S."

There were two main versions of the Greek letter sigma in ancient history. One version of the Greek letter sigma was the AIB's "E" shaped symbol, and the other was the "S" shaped symbol that is also described as a lightning bolt rune-shape. Although the swastika was an ancient symbol, it was used by German National Socialists to represent two overlapping "S" letters for their socialist dogma. Similar stylized lettering was used in the bizarre signature of the NSGWP' leader, in his SS Division, on the Trabant car logo, and similar alphabetic symbolism still shows on Volkswagens.

It is interesting to note that in Germany under the NSGWP (and still today worldwide), the "S" shapes used in the swastika, and in the SS division and other uses were known as "siegs" or the "sieg rune," and the name is derived from the Greek word "sigma."  "Sieg" is also a word in German and was used under the NSGWP as part of its robotic chanting of "Sieg Heil" to its national flag (the swastika flag) and to its leader with the stiff-arm salute.

Thus, the AIB simply employed a different version of the same letter symbolism used by German socialists; a different Greek version of the letter corresponding to "S" for "Socialism."

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSGWP) originally was named the "German Workers' Party."  Later, the name was changed to add "National Socialist" and the swastika was adopted and came to represent "S" letters for "Socialist."

The use of the swastika as "S" symbolism for socialism originated in the United States, along with robotic group-chanting to flags, Nazism and Nazi salutes. The bizarre acts in the USA began as early as 1875 and continued through the creation of the National Socialist German Workers' Party. The Integralist salute, "Anauê!", which means "you are my brother!" was also borrowed from German socilialists who repeatedly use the word "comrade" (german: Komrade) as shown in the infamous film "Triumph of the Will" by Leni Riefenstahl. One of the most important principles in an Integralist's life was the "Internal Revolution," or "Revolution of the Self," through which every individual was encouraged to stop thinking only for himself, and instead submit to a giant integralist family - becoming one with the Homeland, while also leaving behind selfish and "evil" values. That was the dogma preached by German National Socialists and by American national socialists and followers of Edward Bellamy and the Theosophical Society for three decades before the NSGWP.

In the same way that the AIB emulated the National Socialist German Workers' Party, The NSGWP clearly emulated National Socialism promoted by socialists in the USA during the three decades before the NSGWP existed.

Three decades before the National Socialist German Workers' Party existed, socialists in the USA had promoted National Socialism, the straight-arm salute, collective robotic chanting, and the modern swastika as an "S" symbol for "socialism."

A Harvard graduate, Ernst Hanfstaengl, personally assisted the leader of the NSGWP in promoting national socialism with more ideas from America.

The dogma behind the AIB, the Bellamys and the pledge was the same dogma that influenced people in the socialist Wholecaust (of which the Holocaust was a part): 62 million slaughtered under the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; 49 million slaughtered under the Peoples' Republic of China; 21 million slaughtered under the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

The Bellamys promoted a government takeover of schools, the placement of flags at schools, and robotic chanting of the pledge to the flag with the old notorious gesture. When the government granted their wishes, the government schools imposed segregation by law and taught racism as official government policy. The schools mandated the robotic chanting of the pledge with the straight-arm salute and persecuted and expelled children who would not comply, arrested parents, and even took children from parents on allegations of "unfit parenting."  There were acts of violence and lynchings.

The USA still follows similar anti libertarian policies promoted by the Bellamys. Many socialist policies caused the USA's big, expensive, oppressive government, its aggressive military socialism, and its growing police state. It caused the Great Socialist Depression (from the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act 1930 etc) that persisted and even lasted through U.S. involvement in WWII. The Pledge still exists along with laws mandating that teachers lead the robotic chanting every day for twelve years of each child's life (though the salute was altered). The government still owns and operates schools, including the same schools that imposed segregation by law and taught racism as official government policy.  That policy even outlasted the National Socialist German Workers' Party by over 15 years. After segregation in government's schools ended, the Bellamy legacy caused more police-state racism of forced busing that destroyed communities and neighborhoods and deepened hostilities. Those schools still exist.  Infants are given social security numbers (socialist slave numbers from 1935 during the NSGWP) that track and tax everyone for life.  Government schools (socialist schools) demand the numbers for enrollment.

The pledge and the flag have become examples of how dangerous government schools are (and how dangerous government is in general).  The brainwashing ritual has indoctrinated most students of government schools with the national socialist propaganda.

The USA is still the worst example in the world of bizarre laws that require robotic chanting to a national flag in government schools (socialist schools) every day for 12 years.

Flags of the World also points out another point made by Dr. Curry: a neo-Nazi group still exists in Brazil and its flag contains the overlapping "S" symbol of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

The British Union of Fascists and National Socialists is often compared with the American First Committee that was operated contemporaneously in the USA by Charles Lindbergh.  The BUFNS is sometimes called the "Britain First Committee."
