A person wrote to me to argue that the National Socialist German Workers'
Party was not socialist. The following is my response:
Your effort to defend and rehabilitate the National Socialist
German Workers' Party by asserting that they are not socialist is bizarre.
Granted, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics murdered more people
(62 million deaths, 1917-'87) and the People's Republic of China murdered
more people (35 million, 1949-'87) than did the the National Socialist
German Workers' Party (21 million, 1933-'45), however that does not make
the latter "not socialist" simply because of the lesser numbers killed, nor
does it exclude the latter from the trio of socialist atrocities at http://rexcurry.net/socialists.jpg
