Many popular books study Vampires. The vast audience attracted
to the subject of vampires know them mostly in fictional, one-dimensional
form. Yet the truth behind the historical characters is as fascinating
as any fabricated account of supernatural persona.
Real vampires were ruthless controllers who used overwhelming
force and terror.
The original Dracula (Vlad the Impaler) was an inventively
cruel ruler of Wallachia in the mid-15th century. Vlad Dracula is
estimated to have annihilated 50,000 people --one-tenth of his own

Some books entertain the idea that Vlad Dracula never died
and is still alive. Others believe that he left multiple secret

Vlad's death toll was greatly exceeded in modern times.

improved with greater emphasis on factual matters. Truth is more frightening
than fiction.
The vampire empire of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
imposed a self-proclaimed dictatorship of the proletariat. It
was implemented by V. I. Lenin (the first premier of the USSR) after
the 1917 revolution and exacerbated by Stalin, and it was a true dictatorship
of the proletariat, with the enslavement of everyone. In later
decades, the rationale for repression outlined there was advanced again
and again by dictatorial socialist governments as they argued that the
small vampire vanguard was necessary to rule the masses for their own

There is more to the terrifying story of real life vampires
on earth.
The letter V as the first initial of the name for Lenin
might just as well have meant vampire. Many people forget that Lenin
had this first name: Vladimir. It is the same name as Vlad III Dracula
(also known as Vlad Tepes, 1431-1476) the old source for the vampire
and dracula terror.
Vladimir Ilich Lenin was born Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov. Lenin
was not his real name. He used the initials and the new name to hide
his past and his true nature. Examples that exist of his signature show
both Vladimir and Wladimir, similar to how the original Vlad III Dracula
was known.
Vlad I. Lenin and Vlad III Dracula have striking similarities
in appearance and in deeds. Vlad III Dracula was the old source for
the vampire terror and Vlad I. Lenin is the modern source for the vampire
terror. Vlad III Dracula ruled, fed and killed in Transylvania, part
of Romania, part of the Caucasus Mountains or Caucasia, and a Slavic
part of the former vampire empire of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
Vlad I. Lenin also ruled, fed and killed to a much worse degree than did
Vlad III Dracula, and Lenin did so in the even larger killing field of
the entire Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (which eventually included
the Caucasus, Romania and Transylvania).
The dictionary states that "vampire" is a word of Slavic
origin. The word "Slav" is the origin of the word "slave."
The word "slave" did not originally refer to African-Americans.
It originally referred to Caucasians (people from the Caucasus or
Caucasia) who were enslaved in medieval times of the dark ages by people
like Vlad III Dracula. Those terms are still used by knowledgeable
people when referring to the acts of Vlad I. Lenin and the Union of Soviet
Socialist Republics.
Vlad III Dracula was also known as Vlad the Impaler. He
used impalement as a method of torture and execution. Victims
were skewered on long stakes that were planted in the ground in his
killing fields. The piercing was done through the sides or the rear
entrance. It could be done so that the victim was still alive and
would be displayed until death and thereafter.
Impalement was a bizarre and ironic evolution of crucifixion.
Emperor Constantine I (also known as Constantine the Great 272–337
A.D.), for reasons of Christian piety, banned crucifixion as a means
of capital punishment. Impalement was also adopted because it was
not considered crucifixion.
Constantine claimed to have a vision before a battle in which he
saw a cross as a sword and the words "In this sign conquer." Constantine
instructed his men to fashion a sword in the form of a cross and it was
carried into victorious battle. It is known as "Constantine's Sword."
Thus the cross, a form of execution and death before Constantine, was
transformed into another form of execution and death under Constantine.
Under Constantine a person would not be killed on a cross, but he
would be killed or decapitated with a cross-shaped sword.
It was under Constantine that the cross became popularized as a symbol
of Christianity. Before then the common symbols of Christianity included
a fish, a lamb, and a shepherd. The crucifix and the cross spread, even
as modern jewelry (it is interesting to note that after the guillotine
was invented, jewelry (including earrings) were made in the form of miniature
guillotines, in a fashion that is similar to modern jewelry in the form
of small crosses and crucifixes, also tools of execution similar to the
guillotine). Cross-shaped swords were the weapons of the crusades.
Crusades were not just about killing muslims. Crusades were about
killing anyone who was not a christian (that included the slaughter of
Hebrews).
The Book of Revelation, chapter 13 has repeated references to the forced
worship of the dragon and the beast, and the persecution and death of anyone

). That occurred in ancient Rome, and under Soviet Socialism, German National
Socialism and under the Peoples' Republic of China. Even today, children
in government schools in the USA are led every morning in robotically chanting
in worship of the enormous beast of government as they gesture and chant
to its flag with their hands over their hearts (In the past, the gesture
during the Pledge of Allegiance was the military salute extended out to the
stiff-armed salute - the salute adopted later by German socialists in chanting
and worship toward their swastika flag).
A common legend is that Vampires feared the cross or crucifix. Movies
depict vampires recoiling in horror at the sight of a cross. However,
Vlad III Dracula is remembered as a Christian knight and for his crusades.
In modern times, under the leader of the National Socialist German Workers'
Party, the cross was worshiped as the notorious symbol of the Party.
The group called their symbol the Hakenkreuz, not the swastika. Hakenkreuz
means "hooked cross."
Although the swastika was an ancient symbol, the noted
cryptographer / symbologist Dr. Rex Curry (Swastika Secrets) discovered
that it was also used sometimes by German National Socialists to represent
"S" letters for their "socialism." With a 45 degree turn of his
Hakenkreuz, the leader of German National Socialists combined the cross
with collectivism, merged church and state, meshed religion and

There are terrifying parallels in the philosophies and
religions of Vlad III Dracula, Vlad I. Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Karl
Marx, Francis Bellamy, Edward Bellamy and the leader of the National

They were all Christians. Vlad III Dracula (a.k.a. Vlad
the Impaler 1431-1476) was Catholic and is remembered as a Christian
knight and for his crusades. Vlad I. Lenin was baptized into the
Russian Orthodox Church. The Russian Orthodox Church traces its roots
to the Baptism of Kiev in 988, when Prince Vladimir I officially adopted
the religion of the Byzantine Empire as the state religion of the
Rus' state. It traces its apostolic succession through the Patriarch
of Constantinople (named after Constantine). The city of St. Petersburg
(on the Gulf of Finland) was renamed Leningrad. Vladimir Putin can be
seen in photographs with Alexius I of the Roman Orthodox Church. Joseph
Stalin attended Tiflis Theological Seminary, a Russian Orthodox institution
via a scholarship that he was awarded (he was also paid for singing
in the choir). His mother wanted him to be a priest even after he had
become leader of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. When Vlad I.
Lenin died (January 1924), he left behind a document known as "Lenin's
Testament." Stalin organized Lenin's funeral and made a speech
professing undying loyalty to Lenin, in almost religious terms. Marx's
father converted to Christianity and Karl Marx joined the official
denomination of the Prussian state, Lutheranism, and he was thus in
a small minority of Lutherans in a predominantly Roman Catholic region.
The head of the NSGWP was raised as a Roman Catholic by his parents,
as was customary where he lived. His mother wanted him to become a priest.
He saw the swastika symbol while he was a young student with the Benedictins
at the Abbey of Lambach-am-Traum, in upper Austria. The symbol was engraved
on the four corners of the monastery. It was not called a swastika.
German National Socialists called the symbol that they worshippd a Hakenkreuz.
It was a type of cross. It translates as "hooked cross." In

Vlad III Dracular began a six-year period of rule in 1456,
just three years after Constantinople fell to the Turks. Vlad went
to war in the winter of 1461-62. Vlad's battles drew the attention
of several European rulers, including the Pope. When the opposing
Sultan's army reached Vlad's capital city this is what they saw: "He
marched on for about five kilometers when he saw his men impaled; the Sultan's
army came across a field with stakes, about three kilometers long and one
kilometer wide. And there were large stakes on which they could see the
impaled bodies of men, women, and children, about twenty thousand of them,
as they said.....There were babies clinging to their mothers on the
stakes, and birds had made nests in their breasts." (from the Greek historian

Of couse, 20,000 is small compared to the hundreds of millions
killed by modern vampires in the socialist Wholecaust.
The Flag of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was
the hammer and sickle on a red background. Red is blood. The
sickle is the scythe of the grim reaper. The hammer is the only
method of killing vampires, a form of impalement by driving a stake
through their hearts. The vampire Vlad used a more horrific form
of impalement against his human victims. With its leadership of
grim reapers, the USSR harvested the largest crop of corpses in history.
Vlad Lenin helped to establish Red Square outside the
Kremlin in Moscow. Lenin established the Gulag (death camps,
slave camps, concentration camps) in 1920 or earlier. Millions
of victims disappeared in the darkest of night.
Socialists re-combined church and state through the worship
of government, socialism and death. Blood-sucking socialists
preach sacrifice of others and self sacrifice even to the ultimate
degree: death.
Vampire socialists are necrophiliacs who love death and
corpses.
Vampires socialists are misanthropes who see themselves
as a superior race to the masses. They obsess about class and they
mentally view people in such categories.
Many socialists say that violence and death are the only
ways that their dogma and their dominance can be achieved. Their
misanthropy claims that it is evolution or natural selection or that
it is inevitable.
They obsess about militarism and they use it to pursue
their domination via the mass slaughter of conquest and war. They
glorify their militarism with absurd parades of their killing machines.
Notorious examples include the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

Vlad I. Lenin was the main theorist of Leninism, which
he described as an adaptation of his vampiric dogma to "the age of
imperialism." He wanted a well-trained party of professional revolutionaries
to hasten the ascension of his vampires over the world.
The American socialists Francis Bellamy (author of the
Pledge of Allegiance) and Edward Bellamy (author of the book Looking
Backward) called their dogma: military socialism. They idolized
the military and they wanted all of society to ape the military in
what they called: the Industrial Army.
They wanted the government to take over all schools and
use the schools to turn students into the industrial army of military
socialism. They wanted the government flag in all schools.
Francis Bellamy began the original Pledge of Allegiance

He wanted all students to collectively assemble in military formation
and chant his pledge to the flag in order to glorify and worship
socialism.
In the early pledge, the military salute was then extended
out toward the flag. In actual use, the second part of the gesture
was performed with a straight arm and palm down by children extending
the military salute while perfunctorily performing the forced ritual

Mars is the god of militarism and war. It is the origin
of the term martial arts (military arts or war arts). Vampire socialists
adore the god of war.
Mars is the red planet, the planet of blood. Vampires
socialists tried to make planet earth as red as mars. They did it
with the blood of millions slaughtered. Much about socialism is a symbol
of their love of blood.
Those ideas lead some people to the theory that vampire
socialists are extraterrestrials (e.g. Martians) who came to earth
for conquest and to establish a vampire empire. The theory holds
that when they came to earth they pretended to want to aid humans with
books entitled: How to Serve Humans. But the title is misleading.
It is a cook book.
They are cannibals and they cause cannibalism. They
feed on the blood, sweat and tears of humans. They crucify capitalism
in the production of food (and everything), and mass famine results.
They force humans and non-socialists to adopt cannibalism in desperate
attempts to survive.
Seven million persons perished from 1932-33 in the famine
that resulted in Europe's "breadbasket" after the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics imposed collectivist land management in the Ukraine. By the
spring of 1933, an estimated 25,000 people died every day in the Ukraine.
It is the same socialism that resulted in 27 million people starving
to death in 1958 in the so-called "Great Leap Forward" in China.
The Great Leap Forward used the same economic reasoning used in "Looking
Backward" the book by Edward Bellamy.
The German Saxons of Transylvania were victims of invasions
by Vlad III Dracula into what was an independent state. Vlad did not
support a free market economy and he imposed harsh taxes, duties and
tariffs. They caused great poverty and suffering.
Vlad the impaler was said to consume bread that he dipped
into the blood of his victims as he dined among their impaled bodies.
Old drawings depict such scenes.
In 1459 Dracula attacked Brasov, burned an entire village,
and impaled many people there on a Hill. The horror is shown
in a woodcut in a tract from Nuremberg in 1499. The image shows Vlad at
a table eating while impaled victims are dying around him, and while
his aids hack off limbs. The tract provides this description: "...he impaled
people and roasted them and boiled their heads in a kettle and skinned
people and hacked them to pieces like cabbage. He also roasted the children
of mothers and they had to eat the children themselves." A woodcut (Strasbourg)
exists from the following year with another such scene. Vlad's legend
also spread from German sources, dating from as early as 1463 (while Vlad
was still alive). Dracula's Homepage website states, "....some of the
earliest secular texts to roll off the presses were horror stories about
Vlad Dracula. Written in German and published at major centres such as
Nuremburg, Bamberg, and Strassburg, these had such unsavory titles as
The Frightening and Truly Extraordinary Story of a Wicked Blood-drinking
Tyrant Called Prince Dracula. Researchers have discovered at least
thirteen of these pamphlets dating from 1488 to 1521." A German tract
(Nuremberg 1488) states: "He had some of his people buried naked up to the
navel and had them shot at. He also had some roasted and flayed." The
same tract adds: "About three hundred gypsies came into his country. Then
he selected the best three of them and had them roasted; these the others
had to eat."
Ritualized cannibalism exists in the historic religious
beliefs of Vlad I. Lenin, Vlad III Dracula, Karl Marx, Francis Bellamy,
Edward Bellamy and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers

the senior Vlad was summoned to Nuremberg by Sigismund, the Holy
Roman Emperor, to receive a unique honor. He was one of a number of
princes and vassals initiated by the Emperor into the Order of the
Dragon, an institution, similar to other chivalric orders of the time,
modeled on the Order of St George. It was created in 1408 by Sigismund
and his queen Barbara Cilli mainly for the purpose of gaining protection
for the royal family; it also required its initiates to defend Christianity
and to do battle against its enemies, principally the Turks. As an indication
of his pride in the Order, Vlad took on the nickname 'Dracul.' (The Wallachian
word 'dracul' was derived from the Latin 'draco' meaning 'the dragon.')"
The younger Vlad used the term "Dracula," meaning "son of Dracul"
or "son of the Dragon."
A historic religious doctrine involves the belief that
bread and wine change into flesh and blood. The flesh and blood
are then consumed by the believers. Followers of the doctrine
participate in elaborate group ceremonies (en mass) concerning the
act. The act is required to be repeated regularly for their entire
lives.
Those historic relgious beliefs developed from the Last
Supper. The Holy Grail was the container used by Jesus at the
Last Supper. The nexus of Joseph of Arimathea with the Grail
legend dates from Robert de Boron's Joseph d'Arimathie (late twelfth
century) in which Joseph receives the Grail from an apparition of Jesus
and sends it with his followers to Great Britain. Building upon that
story, later writers recounted how Joseph used the Grail to catch Christ's
blood.
The historic religious ceremony that developed is often
performed in the presence of a large crucifix that graphically displays
the namesake of their religion upon a cross, with nails through
his feet and hands/wrists (another form of impalement). Followers
believe that the namesake of their religion was sacrificed, or engaged
in agonizing self-sacrifice, that could save humanity through the power
of belief and/or emulation. Followers sometimes wear small versions
of the event on necklaces. They believe that the namesake of their religion
died, came back to life and was able to live forever. Followers believe
that their group ritual with wine and bread will help them to do the
same.
There are some legends saying that Vlad III Dracula, after
being taken captive by the Hungarians, was buried alive. The next
day, they dug up the spot where he was buried and found no corpse. It
is interesting to note that in 1448, upon returning to Wallachia, Vlad
discovered that his father had been assassinated and his older brother
Mircea had been buried alive by the nobles of Târgoviste who had
supported a rival leader.
It is difficult to know what the above religious doctrine
meant in the demented minds of Vlad III Dracula, Vlad I. Lenin, Karl
Marx, Francis Bellamy, Edward Bellamy and the leader of German National
Socialists. They were preying people. They ruthlessly preyed
upon others.
Similar historic religious doctrines also drove believers
to use mortification of the flesh, flagellation, hairshirts, and another
form of cilice (a spiked leg band), etc.
The symbol of German National Socialists (the swastika)
was not called a swastika by German National Socialists. In
German it was a Hakenkreuz. It was a type of cross. Hakenkreuz means
hooked cross.
The head of the NSGWP saw the Hakenkreuz while he was
a young student with the Benedictins at the Abbey of Lambach-am-Traum,
in upper Austria. The symbol was engraved on the four corners of
the monastery, where it had been sculpted several years before, upon
the direction of the abbot, Theodorich Hagen.
The hooked cross of German National Socialism was manipulated
to combine its religious meaning with the worship of socialism and
government. The head of the NSGWP turned it 45 degrees to the
horizontal and oriented it to always point clockwise. He manipulated his
hooked cross to turn it into the overlapping letter S to symbolize his vampiric
socialism, as shown by Professor Rex Curry. The German National Socialist
leader altered his own signature to use the same stylized letter S to symbolize

The hooked cross also symbolizes crossed sickles or scythes
of the grim reaper, so that the German National Socialist Symbol mirrored
the symbol of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
The American National Socialist Edward Bellamy also combined
his religion with socialism in his book The Religion of Solidarity
(1874). He argued that individuality is a delusion and/or is
unimportant. He advocated that each individual subsume himself/herself
to anything and everything else, as repeated later in his book Looking
Backward.
In Mein Kampf, the author cryptically described the new
hooked-cross flag of German National Socialism and its red color:
"In red we see the social idea of the movement...." (pg. 496-497).
The German National Socialist leader obsessed about blood
and death. He would carry the Blutfahne (Blood flag), a Swastika flag
which was covered in the blood of his cohorts from the attempted Beer
Hall Putsch in Munich, Germany on November 9, 1923. The bloody
flag was treated as a sacred object, and was carried at NSGWP ceremonies.
One of the most visible uses of the flag was at the annual socialist
party rallies at Nuremburg, where the leader touched other national
socialist banners with the Blutfahne, thus sanctifying the new flags
with the old.
The death's head insignia (Totenkopf or dead-head, a skull
and crossed bones) was used by the NSGWP. It was used on black
uniforms giving a sinister appearance that was appropriate for the
vampiric nature of the German socialists.
The NSGWP leader followed the lead of Vlad I. Lenin in
constructing death camps used to kill people they considered inferior.
Both of them followed in the footsteps of Vlad III Dracula.
Dracular's homepage states: "According to an early Romanian
chronicle, in the spring of 1457, Vlad invited the nobles [of Tirgoviste]
and their families to an Easter feast. After his guests had finished
their meal, Vlad's soldiers surrounded them, rounded up the able-bodied
and marched them fifty miles up the Arges River to Poenari, where they
were forced to build his mountain fortress. His prisoners labored under
very difficult conditions for many months. Those who survived the grueling
ordeal were impaled."
Legends state that Vlad III Dracula once noticed that
vagrants, beggars and cripples had become numerous in his land. Vlad
invited all the poor and sick in Wallachia to join him for a huge feast,
declaring that no one should go hungry in his land. As the poor and
crippled arrived, they were ushered into a great hall where a feast
was prepared for them. Vlad's guests ate and drank late into the night,
when Vlad himself made an appearance. "What else do you desire? Do
you want to be without cares, lacking nothing in this world?" asked
Vlad. When they answered that such was indeed their wish, Vlad had the
hall boarded up and set on fire. None escaped the flames. Vlad claimed
that he did it "in order that they represent no further burden to other
men so that no one will be poor in my realm." This deed is also attributed
to the bishop Hatto of Mainz.
All vampire socialists ask the masses "Do you want to be
without cares, lacking nothing in this world?" and they promise it
in socialism, and then slaughter by the millions all who are duped.
It is unclear why Vlad became the source for vampire legends
in the late 1800's. The events in the life of Vlad occurred in a region
of the world that was still basically medieval even during that time.
Similar medieval conditions were re-created under the modern
vampire Vlad I. Lenin and the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics,
where society actually regressed, as if moving backward in time, during
the 1900's.
The phrase “From each according to his ability; to each

It is a trick phrase because, when compared with vampires, humans have

Many modern popular books have been written about the historic
religious beliefs mentioned above and how they inspired secret societies,
sinister plots and many deaths.
The Priory of Sion has, since the 1970s, been an elusive
protagonist in many conspiratorial works of pseudohistory. The Prieuré
de Sion created by Pierre Plantard is a hoax. Usually rendered in English
translation as Priory of Sion or Priory of Zion, it has been characterized
as the most powerful secret society in history.
A priory is a residence in a monastery governed by a
prior (superior). A monastery is a community of persons who
live give up individuality to live collectively, through self-sacrifice
and they often take vows to live in poverty, and give up private property.
The term "monastery" comes from the root "mono" as meaning living as
one. In a free society, such a manner of living is voluntary and
rare. Under socialism, such a manner of living is involuntary and
is imposed on everyone by government. It results in widespread
poverty.
Sion or Zion has several definitions in dictionaries
including: utopia or an idealized, harmonious community (that concept
is also used as a reference to the historic land of Israel). The
USSR, PRC, and NSGWP all promised utopia or an idealized, harmonious
community. The activities that followed bore no resemblance to
a harmonious society.
The articles of the Priory of Sion as indicated in its
Statute desired the creation of a monastic order -but the activities
of the Priory of Sion bore no resemblance whatsoever to the objectives
as outlined in its Statutes. Article VII stated that members
were expected "to carry out good deeds" and "teach the truth" and "defend
the weak and the oppressed." The statutes of the USSR, PRC and
NSGWP all stated the same expectations, which were repeated Pravda (truth)
and the other government-run media.
Authors who have written about the Priory of Sion assert
that its ultimate goals are:
* the founding of an empire that
would become the next hyperpower and usher in a new world order of
peace and prosperity;
* the establishment of a messianic
mystery state religion; and
* the grooming and installing of
a messiah or "Rex Deus" or "King God."
Stalin, Mao and the head of the NSGWP each had a messiah
complex and installed themselves as Rex Deus and required worship
and complete obediance and sacrifice, even to the ultimate self-sacrifice
by millions: death.
The authors Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry
Lincoln (The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail) claimed that the Priory
of Sion had a long and illustrious history dating back to the First
Crusade starting with the creation of the Knights Templar as its military
and financial front.
They wrote that the Roman Catholic Church tried to kill
off all remnants of the society and their guardians, the Cathars and
the Templars, during the Inquisitions, in order to maintain power.
The modern socialist Inquisition also tried to kill off
all remants of capitalism in order to maintain power. The socialist
Inquisition killed millions while the old Inquisition killed few
in comparison.
There were four old Inquisitions; in chronological order,
they were the Medieval Inquisition, the Spanish Inquisition, the
Portuguese Inquisition and the Roman Inquisition. They started with
the Medieval Inquisition in 1184 and ended with the Spanish Inquisition
in 1834. One would be incorrect to presume that the old Inquistions
were unrelated to each other, or that they were unrelated to the modern
socialist Inquisitions.
The modern socialist Inquisitions also consist of four
major examples: 65 million slaughtered under the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics; 35 million under the Peoples Republic of China; 21 million
under the National Socialist German Workers Party; 4 million under
the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. They were the four horsemen of the

The Inquisitions were institutions charged with the eradication
of heresy through violent coercion.
Heresy (from the Greek verb for, "to choose") is a natural
obstacle to total control by anyone with power. If enough people decide
to think for themselves, the absolute authority of socialism is threatened.
Under socialism permanent structures came into being to combat heresies.
Socialists deemed it poper to convert, sometimes by violent means, people

conquered the city of Kazan which had been under the rule of Muslem

the Islamic crescent be placed at the bottom of the crosses to signify
the victory of the cross (Christianity) over the crescent (Islam).

The Gothic fortress, perched on a rock, has appeared in numerous
Dracula movies.
Romania still has a vampire bureaucrat known as "the culture
minister" and he made the announcement about returning the stolen
property on May 26, 2006 in Bucharest, Romania.
Romania passed legislation earlier this year to return
property to its former owners and establish a "property fund" to
pay damages for assets that cannot be returned. The fund includes stock
in state-owned companies that are being privatized.

The castle, worth an estimated $25 million, was owned by
the late Queen Marie and bequeathed to her daughter Princess Ileana
in 1938. It was confiscated by communists in 1948 and fell into disrepair.
It will be transferred on Friday to Dominic van Hapsburg, a New York
architect who inherited the castle from Princess Ileana decades after
the socialists seized it, minister Adrian Iorgulescu told a news conference.
Van Hapsburg is a descendant of the Hapsburg dynasty which
ruled Romania for a period starting in the late 17th century.
The hand-over ceremony occurred in the 14th century castle's
museum deep within the fortress in Transylvania, Iorgulescu said.
Restoration work began in the late 1980s and was partially
completed in 1993. It is now one of Romania's top tourist destinations.
In an oddly foreboding twist, the government made the true
owner agree not to make any changes to the castle for three years.
At the gates of Bran Castle, peasants sell Dracula sweaters
hand-knitted from the thick wool of local sheep, cheesecloth blouses,
and Vampire wine. The castle is the most famous of 15 citadels and
fortresses in the area, which were built by peasants to keep out marauding
armies of Turks and Tartars and cruel local medieval lords.
Another former royal property, the Peles Castle, built
in the late 19th century in the mountain town of Sinaia, will be returned
to former King Michael. He owned it before it was confiscated by the

Northern Transylvania, and southern Dobrudja were occupied by the
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), Hungary and Bulgaria respectively.
King Carol II abdicated in 1940 and the subsequent year Romania entered
the war joining with Germany's National Socialist German Workers Party,
Italy, Hungary and Bulgaria. Because Romania participated in the invasion
of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the country recovered Bessarabia
and northern Bukovina under the leadership of general Ion Antonescu.
During the Second World War, the Antonescu regime, allied with Germany's
National Socialists. In 1939, the National Socialist German Workers'
Party joined as allies with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to
invade Poland in a secret pact to divide up Europe.
In August 1944 the Antonescu regime was toppled, and Romania
joined the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics against German National
Socialists.
With Soviet Socialist forces still stationed in the country
and exerting defacto control, socialists and their allied parties
claimed 80% of the vote in the 1946 Romanian elections, through a combination
of vote manipulation, elimination and forced mergers of competing parties,
establishing themselves as the dominant force; Western democracies
left Romania in the hands of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
In 1947, King Michael I was forced by the socialists to abdicate and
leave the country.
Romania was a socialist state, under direct military and
economic control of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics until
1958. During this period, Romania's scarce resources left after WWII
were drained by the "SovRom" (Soviet Socialist / Romania) agreements:
mixed Soviet-Romanian companies established in the aftermath of World
War II to mask the looting of Romania by Soviet socialists, in addition
to excessive war reparations paid to the USSR. During this dark period,
up to two millions persons were arbitrarily imprisoned for political,
economical or for no reasons, there were hundreds thousands of abuses,
deaths and incidents of torture against a large range of persons, from
political opponents to ordinary citizens, bringing gloom over Romania.
The estimated least figure of human life losses due to the socialist
terror in Romania between 1948 and 1964 is 200,000.
Nicolae Ceauşescu imposed even more socialistic policies
that further impoverished Romanians and exhausted the Romanian economy.
He profoundly deepened Romania's socialist police state (the Securitate)
and imposed a cult of personality.
The then-existing socialist dictatorship ended 22 December
1989 (the Romanian Revolution of 1989).
It coincided with the similar economic implosion of socialism
in the USSR. In the summer of 1991 a new Union Treaty was designed
which would have turned the Socialist Republics into a much looser
federation. The treaty was interrupted by the August Coup - an attempted
coup d'état against Mikhail Gorbachev by other socialists members
of the government. After the coup failed, Yeltsin came out as
a hero while Gorbachev's power was greatly reduced. The balance of
power tipped significantly towards the republics. Latvia, Estonia and
Lithuania were able to secede and regained their independence, while
the other 12 republics continued discussing similar goals. On December
8, 1991 Presidents of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus signed Belavezha Accords
which declared the socialist Union dissolved and established the Commonwealth
of Independent States in its place. On 25 December 1991, Gorbachev resigned
as the president of the Socialist Republics and turned the powers of
his office over to Boris Yeltsin. The following day, the Supreme Soviet,
the highest governmental body of the Soviet Union, dissolved itself. This
is generally recognized as the official, final dissolution of the Socialist
Republics.

Is there another reason for BJ's self-description

symbol a Hakenkreuz (hooked cross), not a swastika. The NSGWP was not
the first group to turn a cross into a symbol of death and execution.
One of many different legends has it that the Roman emporer Constantine
claimed to have a vision before a battle in which he saw a cross as a
sword and the words "In this sign conquer" (In hoc signo vinces or IHS). Constantine instructed his men to fashion a
sword in the form of a cross and it was carried into victorious battle.
It is known as "Constantine's Sword." Thus the cross, a form of
execution and death before Constantine, was transformed into another
form of execution and death under Constantine.
Constantine banned the use of crucifixion as a means of exexution in
337 A.D. Although a person would not be killed on a cross, he could be
killed or decapitated with a cross-shaped sword. He could also be impaled,
which duplicated characteristics of crucifixion: slow agonizing death,
and display of the victim to others as a form of terrorisim or warning.
There are persuasive arguments that impalement was worse than crucifixion.
It might have been under Constantine that the cross became popularized
as a symbol of Christianity. Before the cross, the common symbols of
Christianity included a fish, a lamb, and a shepherd.
The term crucifix means a cross with a person crucified upon it. The
term cross means that no crucified person is displayed.
The crucifix and the cross spread, even as modern jewelry. It
is interesting to note that after the guillotine was invented, jewelry
(including earrings) were made in the form of miniature guillotines,
in a fashion that is similar to modern jewelry in the form of small crosses
and crucifixes, also tools of execution similar to the guillotine).
If Jesus had been executed via guillotine or lethal injection, would
people wear miniature guillotines and hypodermic needles on necklaces?
When did the cross or crucifix come to be used as jewelry? It might be
possible to discover by examining old art for representations of people
wearing jewelry.
Thanks to capitalism, metal knives (and forks) are abundant in capitalist
countries where they are commonly used for dining. Machines spit out knives
by the millions. That is not the case in anti-capitalist countries where
people continue to eat with their hands or with wooden utensils to shovel
food into their mouths. The lack of affordable metal utensils was the case
in history, too (some places today have not progressed from historic conditions).
Capitalism feeds the world, libertarians say. And it feeds the world with
classy flatware.
As metallic knives became more affordable, people began to use them for
everyday dining. Even so, a lucky trendsetter might own a single knife to
use for eating. Cutlery would not be provided to diners in town or while
traveling. Diners had to bring their own. And there were times, and places,
where the knives continued to be rare and desired. It was not something to
be left upon a table in a lodging.
One place to keep a smaller knife used for dining was on a chain hung
around the neck. Some of those knives resembled crosses, of course.
Such knives were eventually accompanied by forks and spoons, on the same

Some people describe the American flag and the Pledge of Allegiance in
terms that invoke crucifixes and death. Here is a comment from a grandmother
about a law requiring tiny children to robotically chant the Pledge of
Allegiance daily in government schools: “They should have to say the pledge
of allegiance to the flag. That’s what soldiers died for and still do.”
Crusades were not just about killing muslims. Crusades were
about killing anyone who was not a christian (that included the slaughter
of Hebrews).
Animal sacrifice is the ritual killing of an animal as part of a religion.
It is practised by many religions as a means of appeasing a god or gods or

Sefer Hachinuch explains that an individual bringing an animal sacrifice for
a sin understands that he personally should have been sacrificed as punishment
for the rebellion against God. God accepts the sacrifice in his or her place.
A "whole offering" (Hebrew: olah), or "burnt offering", is a type of Biblical
sacrifice, specifically an animal sacrifice in which the entire sacrifice
is completely burnt, consumed totally by fire. This form of sacrifice, in
which no meat was left over for anyone, was seen as the greatest form of
sacrifice. Modern Biblical scholars regard the Moloch offering, which involved
human immolation, as being related to the whole offering.
The animals were brought to the north side of the altar, and killed by either
the offerer, or a kohen (priest). The animal's blood was carefully collected
by kohens and sprinkled around the altar. Unless the animal was a bird, its
corpse was flayed, the skin given to the priest (who was permitted to keep
it). In later times more powerful priests forcibly took possession of the
skins from the lesser priests, and it was decreed that the skins should be
sold.
Korban (Hebrew: "sacrifice" קרבן) (plural: Korbanot קרבנות), is the term
for a variety of sacrificial offerings described and commanded in the Torah.
Such sacrifices were offered in a variety of settings by the ancients, and
later by the Jewish priesthood, the Kohanim, at the Temple in Jerusalem. A
Korban was usually an animal sacrifice, such as a sheep or a bull that underwent
shechita (ritual slaughter), and was often cooked and eaten by the offerer,
with parts given to the Kohanim and parts burned on the Temple mizbe'ah (altar).
Korbanot could also consist of doves, grain, wine, or incense.
The Torah narrates that God commanded that people offer korbanot on various
altars, and describes the offering of sacrifices in the Tabernacle and in
the Temple in Jerusalem until the First Temple was destroyed and resumed
with the Second Temple until it was destroyed in 70 CE.
Korbanot were practiced from earliest times, particularly for over one thousand
years in the Tabernacle and during the eras of the Temple of Solomon and
the Second Temple in Jerusalem when the Israelites lived in the Land of Israel
until the destruction of Judea, Jerusalem, and the Temple by the Roman Empire
approximately two thousand years ago in the year 70 CE.
The korbanot are mentioned in all five books of the Torah outlining their
origins and history, and then in the later books of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible).
Every regular weekday, Shabbat, and each Jewish holiday had its own unique
korbanot.
Role of the kohen (priest): The Kohanim ("priests") performed the korbanot
rituals first in the ancient Tabernacle and then in the Temple of Solomon
(the first Temple in Jerusalem) and later in the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
The Hebrew Bible describes them as patrilineal descendants of Aaron who meet
certain marriage and ritual purity requirements.
The Kohen Gadol in particular played a crucial role in this regard on Yom
Kippur, a day when multiple korbanot were offered.
The Book of Leviticus contains the details of each korban. In classical
rabbinic literature it is sometimes known as Torat kohanim, the "Law [book
of the] Priests". It delineates the roles both of the kohen ("priest") and
the Kohen Gadol ("High Priest").
About one hundred of the permanent 613 mitzvot (commandments) based on
the Torah (Pentateuch) itself, concern the korbanot, according to Maimonides,
(excluding those mitzvot that concern the actual Temple and the kohanim themselves
of which there are about another fifty):
1. Not to burn anything on the Golden Altar besides incense
(Exodus 30:9)
2. To offer only unblemished animals (Leviticus 22:21)
3. Not to dedicate a blemished animal for the altar (Leviticus
22:20)
4. Not to slaughter it (Leviticus 22:22)
5. Not to sprinkle its blood (Leviticus 22:24)
6. Not to burn its Chelev (Leviticus 22:22)
7. Not to offer a temporarily blemished animal (Deuteronomy

Women and Korbanot
Women were required to perform a number of korbanot, including:
* Childbirth The offerings following childbirth described
in Leviticus 12.
* Thanksgiving The todah (Thanksgiving) offering and
its accompanying mincha following recovery from illness or danger
* Passover The pesach (Paschal) sacrifice on Passover.
Women could offer the sacrifice and hold a seder themselves if they wished,
even if married.
* Chatot and Ashamot Chatot (sin) and ashamot (guilt)
offerings in atonement for transgressions and unintentional errors.
* Nazir Offerings relevant to fulfillment of, or transgression
of, the Nazirite vow.
In the Hebrew Bible, a nazirite or nazarite, (in Hebrew: נזיר,
nazir), refers to a Jew who took the ascetic vow described in Numbers 6:1-21.
The term "nazirite" comes from the Hebrew word nazir meaning "consecrated"
or "separated".
